After American Speed Fest at Brands Hatch, Round 3 and 4 of Nascar Whelen Euro Series DF1 Racing is now in total preparation for the only oval race this season at Venray/NL.
The last race weekend was for our DF1 Driver Christophe Bouchut not a lucky one. Only on Saturday, he finished in 8th position and on Sunday his race ended on the third lap, because of a racing accident Christophe was not responsible for. At the moment our top driver is in 7th position in the championship, but everything in future races is still possible.
The weekend was much better for our Rookie driver Maciej Dreszer. His third place grid start on Saturday in Nascar Whelen Euro Series finished with Maciej Dreszer again on the podium (3rd overall and 2nd Rookie) – a great compliment to the young driver.
On Sunday our DF1 mechanics, who did a great job, had only 90 minutes between the crash of Christophe and the opening of the grid for Elite 2 procedure to fix our car 66. So this young, polish driver again did a great race and finished on 4th position and also 2nd Rookie, as the day before. With these results after Brands Hatch Maciej Dreszer is 3rd in championship of Elite 2 NWES and still 1st Rookie!
Now a special racing experience is waiting for DF1 team in the middle of July at Venray. Both drivers are at Venray/NL for their first time to race the fastest ½ Mile Oval in Europe. Really small, really short and really dangerous, but very attractive for all the NASCAR and V8 Fans – DF1 Racing is delighted to see this community again. Venray is special, with its own flair and it has it`s own rules.
Spotters work will be the most important there and our DF1 spotters David Prewitt for Christophe Bouchut and Jakub Golec for Maciej Dreszer are looking forward to this event. The trust in their information is the basic to having a safe race at the oval track.
DF1 Racing hopes to have a successful weekend at Venray/NL and to build on our current championship standings.
