After crash on Saturday Only one start for DF1 Racing at NWES Finals

This weekend the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Finals took place in Zolder (BEL). The Austrian DF1 Racing Team started with its Chevrolet No. 66. On the first race on Saturday Mathias Lauda finished the Elite 1 race in sixth position. However, after a crash his car was damaged as much, that DF1 Racing had to renounce participation in the other three races.
“Mathias was classified as sixth in his race. The victory went to Alon Day ahead of Eddie Cheever III and Anthony Kumpen. Unfortunately his Chevrolet was damaged as much, that our rookie Christian Malcharek could not participate in his Elite 2 race. Indeed, the mechanic ́s crew worked day and night trying everything to make the car ready for use at least for the races on Sunday. But at the end all efforts were in vain. The chassis was affected too much and there was no other chassis in reserve“, so DF1 Racing team manager David Prewitt.
