12-3-2015. Vienna. The DF1 NASCAR Racing Night was a resounding success with a great show, reflected by the presence of numerous Austrian personalities and a lucky Grid Girl winner.
The exclusive event “Fashion TV presents NASCAR DF1 Racing Night” at Vienna’s Fashion TV Café started with the presentation of our new racecar and our driver’s Luke Wright and Christian Malchárek. The highlight, however, was the Grid Girl Contest, where lucky winner Angelina prevailed against nine competitors. She will represent Fashion TV this season on the racetrack in the DF1 NASCAR Racing team. The exclusive event was a huge success, reflected by the presence of numerous Austrian personalities such as Christina Lugner, Tom Sarkis, Maria Lahr, Josef Winkler, Manuela Dorn and Patrick Wieser.
In winning Fashion TV, the global multimedia network leader in fashion and lifestyle content, DF1 NASCAR Racing was able to register a renowned partner. Fashion TV broadcasts in 193 countries to over 400 million households and counts over 20 million monthly views on YouTube. In 2013, Austria’s first Fashion TV Café opened in Vienna. The city’s most exclusive Club is famous for its 8K Video Wall, Fashion Shows, VJs and an in house Catwalk as well as top exclusive Fashion Cocktails, Food and Shisha.

Since 2014 DF1 NASCAR Racing, who celebrates 15 years in motorsports this year, competes successfully in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The Austrian team scored in their first season with two victories such as the historic first ever win in the wet from Mathias Lauda in the Oval of Tours. DF1 NASCAR Racing is now preparing for the season kick-off on April 25 in Valencia/Spain.
The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will hold six race weekends on the most interesting and storied Oval and Road course circuits in Europe. The championship 2015 is run between April and October in Spain, Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Italy and Belgium and holds two races per weekend for its two divisions (Elite 1 and 2).
